Bluffton

The Town of Bluffton is located in Beaufort County, the southernmost coastal county in South Carolina. It is situated on a high bluff overlooking the May River, a pristine waterway that has strongly contributed to the Town's history and continued success. Bluffton is located just 12 miles west of Hilton Head Island, SC and approximately 20 miles northeast of Savannah, GA.

Charming and Current

Within its one-square mile National Historic District, Old Town Bluffton beckons — the perfect start to a Bluffton exploration. Pass under the mossy oaks along Calhoun Street and you’ll find restored cottages housing art galleries, boutiques and several terrific eateries. The Gothic-style Church of the Cross, built of local cypress before the Civil War, stands watch over the bluff where Calhoun Street ends at the river. Discover for yourself how Bluffton seamlessly blends the quaint with the quirky.

Life in Bluffton

And while greater Bluffton has boomed since the 1990s—and is now one of the fastest growing communities in South Carolina—Old Town is still the heart and soul of Bluffton, with its eclectic and classic charm.
